Mirenku is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe in transparency and minimal data collection. This policy explains what little data we handle and how we protect your privacy.

The Mirenku Application

Mirenku stores all your data locally on your device. We do not have access to:

• Your anime list or viewing history
• Your MyAnimeList credentials or tokens
• Any personal information you enter in the app
• Your usage patterns or statistics

MyAnimeList Integration

If you choose to connect to MyAnimeList:

• Authentication happens directly between you and MyAnimeList
• OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored locally on your device
• We never see or store your MAL password
• All MAL API calls go directly from your device to MAL servers

Website Analytics

Our websites (mirenku.app and mirenku.org) are hosted on Netlify, which collects basic analytics:

• Pages visited and bandwidth usage
• General geographic region (country level)
• Browser and device type
• Referral source
• HTTP access logs for 30 days

This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising cookies. You can learn more about Netlify's privacy practices at Netlify's Privacy Policy.

GitHub and Downloads

When you download Mirenku from GitHub:

• GitHub may collect download statistics
• We can see aggregate download numbers
• We cannot identify individual downloaders

Discord Community

If you join our Discord server:

• Discord's privacy policy applies
• We can see your Discord username and messages
• We do not share or sell community member information

Data We Never Collect

• Personal identification information
• Email addresses (unless you contact us)
• Payment information
• Location data from the app
• Anime viewing habits or preferences

Source Code Transparency

Mirenku is source available. You can verify our privacy practices by reviewing our code on GitHub. If you have concerns about data handling, you can inspect exactly what the application does.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as Mirenku evolves. Changes will be noted on this page with an updated revision date.
